Terre Haute RP Church: new location

This is old news, but I have updated on the maps the location for the Terre Haute RP Church.  This is a church plant of the Bloomington RP Church.  Please see the North America and RPCNA maps.

Growth in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Scotland

I have made my RP Church of Scotland listings current.  There are currently four congregations in this denomination, following some high profile events earlier this year, in which ministers have left the Free Church of Scotland for the RP Church over the exclusive psalmody issue.  I have known about this for several months, as I am sure many of you have, but for some reason had overlooked updating the listings.  In addition to the established congregations, there is also a fledgling work in Edinburgh to note.

Hersteld Hervormde Kerk: 10 congregations added

I have added ten more congregations to the Hersteld Hervormde Kerk in the Netherlands.  Among these congregations is Laankerk Kralingse Veer in Rotterdam.  I attach a photo of that church building below.

Another ARP congregation in Alabama practices EP

A reader of my blog/listings reports finding mention of another Alabama congregation that practices exclusive psalmody: Prosperity ARP Church in Marion Junction, AL.  This congregation is not too far from Selma RPCNA and Oak Hill ARP, two other congregations that hold to EP.  I am most delighted to recognize this cluster of churches in this quiet part of Alabama.

Pennsylvania congregation joins RPCNA

A congregation in the Wyoming Valley of Eastern Pennsylvania has joined the RPCNA.  Formerly of the American Presbyterian Church, this congregation is now known as the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Wyoming Valley.  As was reported on the RPCNA Facebook page on October 24, 2011, this congregation is now one of two RP congregations in Luzerne County.  The closest metropolitan areas to this congregation are Wilkes-Barre and Scranton.

Exclusive Psalmody comes to the Old Pueblo

I am pleased to announce a new work in Tucson, Arizona.  Tucson Reformed Presbyterian Fellowship is a work of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America.  According to RPCNA’s Facebook page, Jason Ryce has been elected as pastor for this work.  His ordination will be (was?) at First Reformed Presbyterian Church of Phoenix.  I don’t yet have any pictures to provide, so here is a pretty photo of God’s creation just outside the city of Tucson (source: Wikipedia).

Update on Hersteld Hervormde Kerk

Tonight I was able to add 13 congregations for the Hersteld Hervormde Kerk in The Netherlands.  This puts the total for this denomination at 40, with many still to be listed.  I have yet to create a specific map for this region (The Netherlands will have too many churches for one map), so you can currently only find these listings on the Hersteld Hervormde Kerk denomination map.  The most recent congregation to be listed is Hersteld Hervormde Gemeente ‘s-Grevelduin en Vrijhoeve Capelle, in Sprang-Capelle, Netherlands.  The HHK denomination sings the 150 Psalms plus some creeds and traditional scripture songs.
